So Far, These Are Toronto's Most Exciting Pre-Construction Projects of 2018

Toronto developers are in the midst of a busy 2018. Yes, a staggering 30 new condo projects were originally expected to launch over the first half of the year.

Here are some of the most exciting ones: 

THE BREAD COMPANY CONDOS [LAMB DEVELOPMENT CORP.]

The Bread Company Condos is currently in pre-construction at 193 McCaul Street. Sales for available units start from the $400,000’s. It has has a total of 266 units, planned to offer a range of types and sizes, including several family-sized ones. This mix is expected to include 19 bachelor units, 124 one-bedroom units, 44 one-bedroom plus den units, 47 two-bedroom units and 32 three-bedroom units.

CORKTOWN CONDOS [ALTERRA]

Corktown Condos is currently in pre-construction at 18 Eastern Avenue. It has a total of 331 units. 14 townhomes will be built at grade, with ten facing Gilead Place and four facing Sackville Street. Residents will be served by a two-level underground parking garage containing 142 parking spaces, divided between 109 resident spaces and 33 visitor spaces.

POST LOFTS LESLIEVILLE [CONDOMAN DEVELOPMENTS INC.] 

Post Lofts Leslieville is currently in pre-construction at 1249 Queen Street East. The development is scheduled for completion in 2019. It has a total of 29 units. Residents will be served by 1,109 square feet of indoor amenity space housed on the ground floor to the rear of the street-fronting commercial unit. Private balconies will fulfill common outdoor amenity spaces.

64 PRINCE ARTHUR AVENUE CONDOS [ADI DEVELOPMENT GROUP]

64 Prince Arthur Avenue Condos is currently in pre-construction at 64 Prince Arthur Avenue. It has a total of 60 units. CetraRuddy Architecture of New York is the design lead, with Toronto's Core Architects serving as Architects of Record. The landscape plan is by Janet Rosenberg.

357 KING WEST [GREAT GULF]

357 King West is currently in pre-construction at 357 King Street West. The development is scheduled for completion in 2021. Sales for available units range in price from $474,990 to over $899,990. Its amenities will be concentrated on the third floor of the podium and the 42nd floor at the top of the tower. On level three, residents will have access to a fitness centre, a yoga studio, change rooms, a communal workspace area and a sheltered, podium-top outdoor terrace with views overlooking the intersection of King and Blue Jays Way.

1181 QUEEN WEST CONDOS [SKALE DEVELOPMENTS]

1181 Queen West Condos is currently in pre-construction at 1181 Queen Street West. It has a total of 112 units, in a mix of 36 one-bedroom layouts, 64 two-bedroom layouts and 12 three-bedroom layouts. 1,844 square feet of indoor amenity space on the second floor is proposed to connect with a 1,448 square feet of outdoor terraces.
